Cold Range last night...one more in before the snow flies!

a last call decision...snow was supposed to start flyin' around 3pm, but as the school day ended it had not yet come.  The cold definitely...but not the snow.  So, seeing how we might be inside for a couple practice nights...we took advantage of the moment and hit the range all the same.

 

We had a few boys from an area team show up, hit some range balls, and they had reported golf practice has not even yet begun for their athletes.  Thankful are we, that we have stage cage nets and nice floor mats.  Feels like we got a good couple weeks of practice in even though we've not been playing the course but once...*sigh, part of living in the north woods of Wisconsin...but, we love it here!

We call this "tentative" because the varsity's first match held will find if any adjustments to our host courses have been made necessary due to conflicts with leagues, course conditions/weather...etc., as it stands, here is the schedule-

Your 2011 Kelly Golf Athletes!!!

Its been difficult getting a decent start this year, like so many past years in NE Wisconsin...working around the snow. We have our nets and cages on our gym stage, with nice mats...but nothing beats getting out and playing on the course. Last Friday...to show what heart these kids have, we put in a number of holes...some doing the front nine at 27 degrees temperature!!!

Got a bit of snow over the weekend, and we hear we're supposed to get hit the next two days...so, the call from everyone was, "Let's go to the range while we can!" So...the first number of pics reflect exactly that from tonight after school...
